
DJ, radio producer and music journalist Michael R?tten is connected in various ways with INFRACom! since its start in 1992. He went on DJ tour with INFRACom! several times and compiled the finest tunes of his freestyle selection for the ?Tribes of da Undaground part? 4 to 7, the latter two already additionally labelled by the name of ?Soulsearching?. When INFRACom! stopped the series in 2002 Michael R?tten continued the compilation serial with Compost Records.
Parallely to his DJ activiites Michael R?tten started the Soulpatrol radioshow at the community station Radio X in Frankfurt in 1997, meanwhile transformed into ?Soulsearching ? The Compost Radio Show and aired internationally at numerous stations. Thanks to Michael intitative Radio X was the first station in Germany to broadcast the famous Gilles Peterson Worldwide Show, doing so since 1998.
In 2005 Michael R?tten linked his radioshow with the compilation series and released ?Soulsearching ? The Compost Radio Show Vol 1?, which was nominated for the GP Worldwide Winners contest in November 2005. Michael?s ?Love EP? was released on INFRACom! in 2001. Together with Max Schneider Michael R?tten also produced remixes for INFRACom!, for instance the Soulpatrol Variation of Cleveland Watkiss? track ?Torch of Freedom?. The next Soulpatrol remix of INFRACom!?s new act Nekta will be released in early 2006.
